CGST : Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology
Since 1987 the Caribbean Graduate School’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology programme has been training Christian counsellors for service in both the Church and the Caribbean society. The counselling programme exhibits three dominant features: its theological underpinning, its theoretical knowledge and its hands-on experience.
The Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree Program is designed for those preparing to serve as Christian Counsellors in both the church and wider society. The program is structured as a stepping-stone to doctoral studies in Counselling Psychology and other specialized areas of Psychology.
Graduates of the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program, who are now serving as guidance counsellors in schools and elsewhere, indicate that they are indeed utilizing the training received at the Graduate School and the learning gained in the School’s curriculum.
This degree falls under the Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences.
Degree awarded: Master of Arts (M.A.)
Duration of course: 30 months ( 2 1/2 years) *Fulll Time
Basic Entry requirements:
- A degree from an accredited University or College, with honours or GPA of 3.0.
- Students to be Interviewed by the head of The Faculty of Behavioural Studies
